16 tenses
1. Present Tense
Ø The formula is:
Positive: S + V1 (s / es)
Negative: S + DO / DOES + NOT + V1
Q: DO / DOES + S + V1
Ø Use:
1. Simple Present Tense is used to express events or happenings, events, activities and so is the case today.
2. Present tense is also used to express a fact, or something that happens over and over again the days NOW.
Ø Example: - I Will go home Pls stop it rain
- A week is seven days
2. Present Continuous Tense
Ø The formula is:
Positive: S + + Ving Tobe
Negative: S + + Not + Ving Tobe
Question: Tobe + S + Ving
Ø Use:
used to express actions in progress or being worked on. The characteristics of the information used for example: now, right now, to day, and so this morning.
- Used to declare an event in progress
- Used to declare an event that is temporary
- Used to declare the events that took place for the foreseeable future.
Example:-I am going to school now
- I am now studying Bahasa
3. Present Perfect Tense
Ø Present Perfect Tense The formula is this:
Positive: S + have / has + V3
Negative: S + have / sas Not + V3
Question: Have / has + V3 + S
Ø Use:
-Use the present perfect for past
-Use the present perfect to past time with many activities
-Use the present perfect for a light but it still happens today
Ø Example: - I have finished my homework
Ø - I am now studying Bahasa
4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Ø Formulas Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Positive: S + have / has + been + Ving
Negative: S + have / has + not + been + Ving
Question: Have / has + been + Ving + S
Ø Use:
a. Describing an activity that began in the past and still continues to this day, whether ongoing or intermittent.
b. Showed activity that was a habit that began in the past and lasted until the present.
Ø Example: - I have been living in Kediri since 1993
- She has beeb reading a story book for a week

6. Past Continuous Tense

Positive: S + was / were the resource persons + Ving
Negative: S + was / were the resource persons + NOT + Ving
Question: Was / Were + S + Ving
Ø Use:
to describe the situation that is happening at a time in the past.
Ø Example: - I was reading a newspaper
- Were you going to school?
7. Past Perfect Tense
Ø Formulas Past Perfect Tense
Positives: Had + S + V3
Negative: S + Had + not + V3
Question: Had + S + V3
Ø Use:
Declare an activity that occurs before other activities in the past, there are usually two or more activities together.
Ø Example: - i had written the letter before I went to Bali
- After We had a much money, We Will build the house
8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Positive: S + Had + been + Ving
Negative: S + Had + not + been + Ving
Question: Had + S + been + Ving
Ø Use: used to represent things or events that something HAS and IS occurred in the PAST.
Ø Example: - He Had been working in Bali
-She Had been studying at SMA Negeri 1 Pare

Negative: S + + Will not + V1
Question: Will + S + V1
Ø Use: used to declare events of Will Happen.
Ø Example: - Will you help me to do it now?
- I Will Arrive from Bali next week
10. Future Continuous Tense
Ø Formulas Future Continuous Tense
Positive: S + Will + be + Ving
Negative: S + Will not + be + Ving
Question: Will + S + be + Ving
Ø Use: 1. To suggest events / activities to be happening at a specific time in the future. Specification of time usually expressed in hours (ie what time the incident took place).
2. Also used to express two events that occurred at the same time in the future.
3. To state the incident / activity is happening / taking place in the future, which interrupted by other events.
4. To declare a thing or event that is believed to be / really going to happen soon.
Ø Example: - Tina Will be making a cake
- They Will be studying if you will of come at nine o'clock tomorrow

Ø Use: 1. To restate the events / activities are predicted / planned to be going / done at a specific time in the past. Note: Specifications are usually expressed by stating the time clock (ie what time the event / activity was predicted / planned to be held / conducted) and the time clause.
Ø Example: - He would be reading the novel from seven to ten last night
- She Told him, "I Will be waiting for you here tomorrow."
